#NoWar: Prayers and Cries for Peace in Ukraine

WAR is bombs and missiles, tanks and guns, mass destruction and mass bloodshed.

WAR is high-level diplomatic talks and pleas, alliances and sanctions, world-wide formal and informal reporting.

WAR is also hundreds and thousands of human dramas played out day by day, moment by moment: the worst of humanity and the best of humanity displayed in everyday acts of brutality or solidarity.

Inna Sovsun, a Ukranian politician and economics professor shared…

A refugee woman from Mariúpol arrived in Hungary with four children:
One child is her own.
One is her sister’s - who went outside her house to find water, and never came back.
One is her neighbours’ - because they were killed.
And the fourth, she saw sitting on the street beside his dead parents as she was running towards an evacuation bus - so she grabbed him too and took him along as well.

The worst of humanity and the best of humanity displayed in everyday acts of brutality or solidarity.

Oh God, may this evil heart-breaking carnage end soon! Oh God, thank You for those who still act with compassion and love in this world!
