My dear friend, fellow missionary, and for many years fellow foreigner in a country not originally her own - Beatriz Benestad - has gone to be with her beloved Savior and Lord.
What rejoicing there must be in heaven this day for her arrival!
What exclamations of “Well done, good and faithful servant!” must be reverberating through the skies for her good and faithful life here on earth!
She was an amazing and powerful example to me of love, strength, tenacity, resilience and deep contentment in all kinds of adversity - for the years that I knew her and the many times we talked together here in Colombia.
She will forever be in my heart - and I cannot wait to see her one day again, completely whole and free and joyously dancing around Jesus’ throne!
Her book, When The Miracle Comes Slowly, is about her remarkable mission to Colombia, and about how God can use anyone in an impossible situation.
Yes! Beatriz’ life was filled with many slow miracles, but miracles of blessing for herself and for many many others they certainly were!
