How amazingly and wondrously significant that - as I have decided to follow @annvoskamp’s ON THE WAY 40-day Lenten journey of BEING ON THE WAY WITH JESUS - I have once again remembered my original, my maiden, last name: UNTERWEGER. An Austrian surname that comes from the German word “unterwegs”, which translated into English means precisely ON THE WAY! 

I have been ON THE WAY all my life. I have been a wayfarer on JESUS THE WAY ever since I was created. Even before I knew or could understand my days, Jesus Himself had placed me ON HIS WAY - by giving me the name UNTERWEGER. 

You have searched me, Lord, and You know me… You are familiar with all my ways… Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. ~Psalm 139:1,3,6

But now thus says the Lord, He who created you... He who formed you... “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine." ~Isaiah 43:1
