I’ve been thinking and meditating these days…
It’s not about sacrifice - even though we believe we are doing something right and good for God:
that is, giving Him an offering that He deserves, and that costs us something.
It’s about obedience.
For, what is the value in hundreds of sacrifices, if there is no yielding to and doing of God’s will?
What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to His voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices.
~Proverbs 21:3
